Ground Schedule
Gunnison is a small, easy to navigate community. Almost everything necessary is within walking distance, eliminating any need for taxi service! Lodging properties in Gunnison provide their guests transportation to and from the airport. Other ground transportation includes car rental companies and Alpine Express transportation services.
The Alpine Shuffle, funded by the local Rural Transportation Authority provides inexpensive transportation from Gunnison to Almont, and on to Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte.
RTA Free Bus Schedule
The bus runs a loop through the City of Gunnison before heading north on Hwy 135 to Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. The trip between Gunnison and Crested Butte takes about 30 minutes. There may be delays due to weather. Check the current bus schedule.
